Thwarting Thieves!

Please, please, please lock your carport storage with a real lock.

And, the community is begging you, yes you (you know who you are) not to leave anything in your car. It doesn’t matter if it’s two cases of diet Coke or an empty shopping bag.

The thieves are stealing whatever is easy to take.

Storage cabinets locked with a luggage lock, a stick, or a piece of string are like a dog whistle calling all robbers to pick on HP because we’re an easy mark.

If you were addicted to drugs, living on the street and in need of a fix, would you rather go across the street to the Harbour Pacific Grocery Store where the parked cars are like rows and rows of free-food bins and the cabinets are shelves of free food, or go across the street to Harbour Pacific where all the cars are empty and the storage cabinets have those flat, round locks that take a lot of effort to open?

Just sayin’, the easiest and least expensive way to cut down on thefts in the carports is for all of us to leave nothing in our cars and lock our storage cabinets with strong locks. It doesn’t matter if the cabinet is empty; it’s an open invitation to come look.

The next time you park your car, look in the windows of it and check for anything laying out in the open. Then check your storage cabinet for a strong lock.

The more cabinets that are easy to open at Harbour Pacific, the more thieves will come here to steal anything inside and look in the windows of the cars near them.
